Why Don’t They Enjoy Their Centers?
CREATING ENGAGING ENVIRONMENTS FOR SCHOOL-AGERS

If you attended the 26th Annual “Practical Ideas for the Child’s World” conference workshop session titled “Why Don’t They Enjoy Their Centers? Creating Engaging Environments for School-Agers,” you had the opportunity to network with other teachers and learn about how the School-Age Care Environment Rating Scale may be a guide for you in creating more engaging activity areas for your school-age classroom.

We invite you to share what ideas you have implemented in your classroom. What changes have you noticed in the children? Have you remembered, discovered, or stumbled upon a new resource that you are excited to share with other school-age teachers? Please feel free to share your successes and struggles so others can learn from you or share their expertise.
