Most centers have risk management plans. Unfortunately, those plans often sit on a shelf in the office leaving staff confused about what to do in the event of an emergency. This session will explore how to make a risk management plan a living document. Best practices in risk management as outlined in the Program Administration Scale (PAS) will be discussed. Through lecture and group activities participants will 1) explore the significance of an effective risk management plan, 2) learn the components of risk management, and 3) discover ways for ensuring information is readily available to all staff.
