Training/Event Description:

Presented at the NAEYC 2017 Annual Conference and Expo

Early childhood program directors and school administrators are often conflicted about how to prioritize their time to advance their organizations and improve teaching and learning practice. This session will help program leaders examine how they balance their focus on pedagogical leadership and administrative leadership, while drawing upon leadership essentials that cut across domains. The recently introduced Whole Leadership Framework will be used to help participants explore the interdependent facets of leadership such as operations, strategic thinking, advocacy, community relationships, instructional leadership, and family engagement. Exploring the Framework’s tools will provide practical ways to improve leaders’ effectiveness.
