Training/Event Description:

Identify effective strategies to help teachers build strong emotional foundations and successful social relationships by focusing on prevention rather than reaction. Explore ways to reframe relationship building from short term fixes to long term solutions while strengthening teacher/child/family relationships.

Administrators will examine their role in supporting teachers in relationship building with children and families.

Many states have or are developing QRIS systems that measure the quality of environments, language and interactions between caregivers and children and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for children. Participants will discuss the linkages between effective emotional and social teaching strategies, in order to progress to higher levels of quality.
