Training/Event Description:

This three day series is for the Quality Specialists, Infant/Toddler Specialists, Nurses, and Mental Health Consultants that will be working with early learning programs enrolling in the new QRIS system called EXCELERATE. Participants will explore topics on role definitions, communication essentials, and continuous quality improvement.   Participants will also be shown the components of the Continuous Quality Improvement Plan (CQIP) that will be used with EXCELERATE programs. This series is an introductory professional development event to lay the ground work for supporting programs towards quality improvements.  A self-assessment tool will also be shared with the consultants to determine next steps for supports these consultants will need from the McCormick Center as they refine and develop their consultative skills. During this initial training they will begin to form communities of practice within their SDA’s as well as across consultative types.
