How does their introduction impact your early childhood program and how can you leverage these powerful tools in a meaning and deliberate ways? Join the McCormick Center’s Media Specialist Giovanni Arroyo and the TEC Center at Erikson Institute’s Program Coordinator Amanda Armstrong for two hands-on days dedicated to the managing iPad usage in ECE programs.
What does it take to have iPads as part of your program and how do you ensure that teachers are using iPads in ways that are developmentally appropriate and enhance children’s learning? As an administrator, how can you provide a path for the future use of iPads at your program? Discuss the in’s and out’s of administering an iPad-ready program, ways to fundraise to acquire iPads, and more.
How can your program use iPads to help record children’s development and learning? Learn ways that the iPad can be used to support documentation in your program. Practice strategies for capturing better photos and videos on your iPad and how to edit them. Explore how these mediums can help further engage children, parents, and staff.
You do NOT need to own an iPad to attend the training. iPads will be available for use. If you do own an iPad, you are encouraged to bring it.
