Alabama supports early childhood leadership through its state-wide QRIS, public pre-K program, principal licensure, and early childhood leadership degree programs. There are no specific requirements regarding administrator qualifications in the Alabama Quality Stars QRIS. Public pre-K classrooms located in schools require the site administrator to hold a principal endorsement. Elementary certification is available for principal licensure.
