Arkansas child care licensing requires administrators to obtain at least 15 clock hours of training annually. Traveling Arkansas’ Professional Pathways (TAPP) offers a number of supports for early childhood administrators along their career trajectory through orientation, a certificate, a credential, mentoring, and coaching. Substantial flexibility is available to administrators to choose professional development to meet their needs and interests based on clock-hour training. Better Beginnings, a QRIS program of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, is implemented across the state.
