Lindsey Engelhardt is the director of special projects at the McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership. In this role, she conceptualizes and oversees the Center’s communication efforts, manages fundraising efforts, serves as a central source of information, and ensures the Center’s projects are aligned with strategic priorities. Her role includes oversight of sponsorship for Leadership Connections™ National Conference. She previously chaired the Marketing Committee. In 2018, Lindsey spearheaded the redesign of the McCormick Center’s website. She has also presented several webinars and trainings on the topics of meeting management and marketing for family engagement.
Previously, Lindsey was a graphic designer at a global tool manufacturing company, but she felt the desire to pursue more fulfilling work. She stumbled upon the McCormick Center and discovered the field of early childhood education. Since joining both in 2014, Lindsey became a parent and a passionate advocate for increasing access to high-quality early childhood education.
Lindsey holds a BFA in visual communication, with minors in journalism and art history, from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and is currently pursuing an MBA in nonprofit management at National Louis University. Her professional interests include journalism, design, marketing technology, fundraising, and systems integration.
