Your donation will have the largest impact on improving outcomes for young children when you support early childhood leadership. Research in the early childhood field demonstrates the critical role that the quality of children’s care and education programs plays in the development of the cognitive skills, social abilities, and healthy behaviors that prepare them to succeed in school and life. And with millions of young children in out-of-home care, leadership at these programs matters.
Your gift helps us support more leaders in improving the quality of care for the children and families they serve. As the premier national early childhood leadership organization, the McCormick Center is the only organization well-positioned to take on this critical cause. We focus on the role of early childhood leaders as catalysts of program improvement and quality. To date, more than 35,000 leaders have participated in the McCormick Center’s variety of training programs.

You can be a part of transforming the quality of early childhood for children and families across the country. All gift amounts make a difference as we strive to support early childhood programs that enrich the lives of young children and those who lead them.
Our founder Paula Jorde Bloom built the McCormick Center, a thriving, nationally-recognized early childhood leadership organization, from an initial grant of just $600.
Paula’s legacy supports the competencies of early childhood program leaders and brings credibility to the important and complex role of program leaders, the “gatekeepers to quality” as she was known to call them.
She passionately advocated for a spotlight on these leaders because children and families depend on them. It’s why Paula dedicated her life to bringing national attention to the critical role program leaders play in assuring high-quality early childhood education for children in out-of-home settings.
While Paula’s devotion to improving early childhood professional standards was legendary, she also recognized that best-in-class professional learning requires financial support. After her passing in early 2018, Paula’s family established the Paula Jorde Bloom Scholarship Fund to support emerging early childhood leaders who are dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education for children and families. Become part of Paula’s legacy by supporting the development of the next generation of early childhood leaders.
