This webinar is designed for certified Business Administration Scale for Family Child Care (BAS) Assessors looking to renew their certification. The training includes updates to the BAS and Additional Notes. Assessors must participate in the BAS Assessor Recertification webinar within four months prior to their certification expiration date. In addition, participants complete an assessment of learning to determine recertification status.

This session, which will be delivered in Spanish, is designed for Illinois family child care providers who are interested in applying for ExceleRate Illinois and is a requirement for Bronze, Silver, and Gold circles of quality. After completing this three-hour training, family child care providers will have a basic knowledge of the Business Administration Scale for Family Child Care (BAS), be able to use the tool for program self-improvement, and know how to prepare for an ExceleRate BAS assessment.

The PAS Assessor Reliability Training provides an in-depth analysis of the items and quality indicators in the Program Administration Scale. This training is designed for individuals who want to ensure that the PAS assessments are valid, reliable, and administered consistently across programs. The training concludes with a reliability test and participants who are 85% or more reliable with the national anchors are eligible to apply for PAS Certification for an additional fee.

A Community of Practice (CoP) for recently hired early childhood administrators (1 day to 5 years experience) Develop your Leadership Essentials. Delve into topics including: the power of self-awareness and reflection, understanding your leadership style, transitioning from peer to supervisor, and productivity and project management. Participate in interactive face-to-face learning as well as guided reflections, and the option for online learning content in Ready to Lead (RTL) is aligned with the Illinois Director Credential and Illinois Gateways to Opportunity.
