LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS are necessary attributes of leaders that foster vital effectiveness in administrative and pedagogical areas of early childhood organizations. Leadership Essentials include self-efficacy, empathy, creativity, authenticity, humility, transparency, adaptability, and learning. This session will help participants ensure policies and conditions that foster mutual respect, cooperation, collaboration, and competence in staff (NAEYC, 2011), and build on the individual strengths and skills of program directors in breaking through repetitive barriers and creating desired positive outcomes.
